We've been singing the praises of Chinese phone market for some time now, and even we're little surprised by the spec of this budget One Pro from UMIDIGI.. On paper it sings all the right notes, with Android Oreo OS and zero bloatware, 5.86in FullSurface 9 notch display, dual-camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, fast wireless charging, USB-C, er among the best budget phones.. One Pro is 8.3mm thick, and it looks thicker - we do not know except it just does not have the same slimline appearance of more expensive phones. It's nice display, with all the benefits of IPS tech and in design with its FullSurface panel and top notch that includes the camera, earpiece and sensors. At the bottom of the phone is USB-C port and jack, and we're pleased to UMIDIGI has not followed other phone makers in using USB-C port as excuse to ditch the jack. Moving to the edges there's SIM on the left that take either two SIMs or SIM and microSD card up to 128GB capacity. It seems like logical place to put the in our mind, especially and we did find it took couple of attempts to recognise our fingerprint.. We ran UMIDIGI through our performance tests and the results were up there with Honor Lite only some way behind the Mi A2 Lite, the duo that lead our best budget phones chart. The latter is not even flagship phones, let alone budget devices, certainly not at 15W. The norm is more like 7.5W. And low light One Pro really struggled, unable to brighten the scene and leaving blacks lost and text looking fuzzy...
