huawei mate 20 pro found to have durability issues
For its price, Huawei offers some sophisticated features, including the camera, in-display fingerprint scanner and Reverse Wireless Charging. Zach Nelson of JerryRigEverything YouTube channel put Mate Pro through durability test.. This test was going well for Huawei phone, coping with having its metal frame, protection and 6.39-inch, 1440 x 3120 resolution display scratched with razor blades and Mohs hardness picks. the glass over this display cracked from the very first bend. Nelson attributed this partial fail to the initial scratches made by Mohs picks, and to the tightness of the metal frame around the curved glass. YouTuber found that the reader developed faults after the screen cracked. By rough comparison, the glass over OnePlus 6T's own in-display scanner was scratched several times with few different objects during this phone's test, and it continued to work as normal afterwards.. Therefore, it seems Mate Pro has in its build quality. On the other hand, it may just be possible to replace the display alone were it to crack as it did during the bend test. Nelson did not test the flagship's other features, such as those related to wireless charging, after the bend test. Read more
