No longer do we need to worry about whether to set Spatial Conform to None nor the order of XML process ( i.e. For those of you who do not have Sync-N-Link X, even you'll have to enter the dimensions of the footage manually everytime. Therefore, Spatial Conform on the timeline will not work unless you set the timeline to accommodate this... So to over come this, I tried using Letterbox Filter with 2.35 setting on the clip and it still showed 16x9 on SDI HDMI monitor. Therefore, the I found was to make classic 16x9 timeline then use layer on top with Letterbox effect set to 2.35 1. .. This causes problem because the formulation to get the footage to fit into the timeline for extraction is different. Step 4 - Use Horizontal resolution multiply with the number we got from Step 1. Step 5 - Use the aspect ratio of the source material to get the resolution. This is not idea because it will cause the picture to be soft and increase noise due to the exaggeration of the pixel... However, 6K materials will center extract to 4K area and will look like we zoomed into the picture.. Read more
