apple kills watchos 5.1 update after it reportedly bricked devices

.. pple has pulled watchOS 5.1 after reports indicated that the update bricked certain Apple Watch devices..   Impacted users report that their Apple Watch devices freeze or get stuck on Apple logo after the installation process.   There does not appear to be fix or workaround for the issue, that restarting Apple Watch or iPhone do nothing to mitigate the bug..   By the fact that users ca not plug their, The problem is made worse Apple Watches into computer for full reset..   It's also worth noting that the majority of users who have experienced the bug have Apple Watch Series 4.   Back June, Apple Watch owners experienced similar bricking when attempting to update to watchOS 5 beta..   watchOS 5.1 was minor update to OS.   Apple, of course, is aware of the issue and is working to fix the bug within watchOS 5.1.   As mentioned earlier, the company will also take measures to send replacement devices to users with bricked Watches...   Sign up to get Apple News, How Tos and more delivered to your inbox..   Read more
