Highlights from NAB 2015: What's New?

As I write this, I'm on the floor NAB, setting up for the year to come, and the first thing you notice is how small the show is. Just South Hall, where I'm working on CoreMelt stand, is hundreds of meters long, dwarfing more deal shows I've attended, and there are two more gallery north of here and one floor above me. You ca not afford this Panavised camera.. Apple did not have counters NAB, Final Cut Pro X 10.2 was also released at 9 a.m. Monday, and it brings grain of new features to the community. Improvements to detection with Lumetri tools, ProRes support, the submit cut transition, and Creative Cloud libraries for easy access to categories made in Photoshop or Illustrator propose to bring useful improvements.. Given that it is free, there will be category of limitations, and with Apple and Adobe both offering cut-down. gateway. director iMovie and Premiere Clip it is best to Avid join the party... For those seeking more of camcorder and less of tool, XC10 offers 4K in great, funky form factor with flip-up screen.  URSA Mini can also be provided with this sensor, and there's $ 2K difference in total from 4K and 4.6K medium, sign perhaps that the sensor is step up... I name to think of it as FCP 9 to Premiere's FCP 8, though you're not comfortable with the type workflow, you prefer to stay with FCP X or Premiere... Their WEAPON brain also brings ProRes support up to 2K, which is probably welcome, if you're in RED fold, this will likely keep you there, and if you're not, the number is also likely to give you pause. But of all, you can meet with people you only know from forums and system, share drink or chat, and make new connections in way that's not possible through keyboard.  Read more
