Hands-on: Walkie-Talkie app in watchOS 5 beta
Demonstrated for the time at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference earlier this month, Walkie-Talkie is one of the biggest additions coming to watchOS 5 this year. Opening the app, users are greeted by splash screen reading, Walkie-Talkie, fun way to talk to other Apple Watch users.. Likewise, you'll get automatic request asking if you want to pair... Once you have contact added, up at the top of every watch face. the app will let you record your message and will try to connect. you will get notification that they tried to reach you. Watch will then give you the option to talk to them, open walkie talkie, or dismiss the notification... That way we would not have to send message and wait for the connection to fail and they would not get notification as result.. When you select contact, connection is established that stays open for up to five minutes before timing out. By using live call, nothing needs to be recorded, sent or downloaded. Read more
