Final Cut Pro X: Freeze-Frames and Slow Motion

In Final Cut Pro X put the playhead or skimmer on the time you want to freeze and type Option+F... It freezes the flight of the hummingbird in the middle of amplifier allowing us to add software or text then resume the action as though nothing had happened.. Put the playhead or skimmer I prefer the playhead on the time you want to freeze select the clips then type Shift+F... This founds the source clip in Browser selects both Browser and the clip and matches the location of In Out and playhead... This creates freeze-frame of Browser clip and places it at the games of the playhead as associated clip in the Timeline.. Change the duration of the Hold frame by hanging the finger at the center end of the black bar... Add transition at the end of the Hold frame by clicking the shots to the word. To shift the actual frame being held click the number to the LEFT of the black Hold stretch and choose Source Frame Edit. To reset the speed back to normal 100% double-click the shots in Retiming bar and choose Normal 100%.. The easy way is to grab the great handle at the end of the clips and drag left or center.  Read more
