DJI Introduces the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom Drones

Two years DJI rolls out not one, except two successors to the original drone.   The  Mavic Pro and Mavic Zoom offer the same foldable design alongside plethora of new smart features and improvements such as enhanced camera systems, controller, quieter performance, time of up to 31 minutes, obstacle sensors, transmission system, DJI Goggles compatibility, and more..   Mavic Pro comes equipped with 20MP Hasselblad L1D-20c camera that features CMOS with adjustable f 2.8 to f 11 aperture, support for Dlog-M color profile, and 4K 10-bit HDR video capture..   Mavic Zoom, on the other hand, offers 2x 24-48mm optical zoom camera with 1 2.3″ 12MP sensor.   Unlike its sibling, however, Mavic Zoom features Dolly Zoom mode that adjusts focus while flying to deliver warped effect, thus creating Vertigo effect.   Both drones utilize a low-drag body design for achieving speeds up to 47.7 mph, LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting..   Additionally, Mavic 2 drones include Hyperlapse mode that shoot stable shots for creating aerial time-lapse, enhanced HDR photos, Hyperlight mode that enhances photos while reducing noise, H.265 video codec, ActiveTrack 2.0, QuickShots, and Panoramas..   Another improvement over Mavic Pro drone is OcuSync 2.0 transmission system which can transmit video feed to the controller from up to 5 miles away Full HD quality.   Waypoint 2.0 By tapping the desired waypoints and point of interest in the app, you can plan path quickly and save it for your next flight..   Mavic Pro and  Mavic Zoom are now available to order selling for $1,449 and $1,249 respectively...   Read more
